2027 Upcoming Missions
VOSH Mn is in the midst of planning upcoming missions for 2027. Please contact us by directly emailing us at voshminnesota@gmail.com if you are interested in learning more about these and how you can participate.
San Lucas Toliman, Guatemala: Dr. James Hess is leading this trip January 24-31st, 2027. He and the team will be working with a small organization that is doing great things in the area, from building homes and schools to teaching local residents how to be self-sustaining by teaching them farming. The organization is run but Mr. Butcher Mueller and is called Stoves for Guatemala. Dr. Hess is looking for eye doctors to serve patients of all ages from a very impoverished area of Guatemala.
San Lucas Toliman, Guatemala: Drs. Jennifer Bourn and Sarah Jerome will be leading their fourth annual trip on January 1st-9th, 2027. They partner with Friends of San Lucase to provide comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all ages at the San Lucas mission hospital. After the mission, there will be time for exploring Antigua. Although they currently have a waitlist, please let us know if you have interest in joining a future trip.
Belize: Dr. Stacy Hintemeister, Doug Blakesley, Iva Prosser, Vicky Knickerbocker, and others will be leading this trip on April 4th-11th, 2027. They will primarily be providing eye care and eye wear for pediatric patients at local schools. They would love to hear from you if you have interest in being part of this trip.
